How it started… again!

Having moved back to the UK from being overseas for quite some time, I needed to get my head back into the world of work. This unfortunately coincided with the arrival of COVID so things were rather restricted.

That’s when I had a call completely out of the blue from a friend of a friend who knew of my background in marketing. He’d attended the Essential Festival back in the early noughties when I ran a Grand Marnier sampling event there. He also knew of the branding and point of sale work I had done for Burger King at a different London agency and asked if I could help. I jumped at the chance, it was work I had enjoyed some time ago and wanted the challenge of helping to launch a new business.

It felt good being back in the world of branding, design, logos, brand guidelines, I REALLY enjoyed getting stuck into a project that would see a new company get off the ground. Engaging in the creative process and working with a fantastic designer I worked closely with the Client to get Smoke ‘Us launched.

Nik was a great Client to work with. He had a clear idea and vision of what he wanted and we worked well together to develop the logo and brand guidelines which were a fundamental to creating consistency of all logo print and design elements.

Now in year four of existence, Smoke ‘Us as a company and brand continues to go from strength to strength and can be hired for events, festivals, weddings, trailer BBQ’s. As they say, from little acorns….
